Joel
Roelants Dutch Champion MX2
Joel Roelants from the KTM JM
Racing Team has clinched the Dutch Championship title in the MX2 class last
Sunday. Joel started the day in Heerde with a six points lead over the
second place rider. Joel knows the circuit in Heerde very well and he showed
this in practice. After several fast laps he set the second fastest time. In
the first moto he took the holeshot and was leading the race in the
beginning of the race. After several laps Jeffrey Herlings passed him and
due this Joel dropped back to 2nd place. Some laps later he dropped back to
third place but the rider from Grobbendonk gave everything he had and
managed to pass the second place rider back before the end of the race. Joel
stayed focussed in the final part of the race and crossed the finish line in
second position. In the second moto he took the holeshot as well and was
leading the race in the first few laps. Than he made a mistake and dropped
back to third position. This position was already enough to clinch the title
so Joel tried to make no mistakes and finished the race in third position.
Joel finished third overall which was good enough to clinch his second
Dutch title in his career.

Jeffrey Herlings took his
second overall victory at the Dutch Open round in Heerde. Jeffrey took the
pole position and started the first moto in second position. In lap 3 he
took over the lead and never looked back. After a great race he won the
first moto. In the second moto he moved into the lead in the beginning of
the race. After several laps he crashed and dropped back to second position.
Jeffrey stayed calm and started to close the gap with the leader. With still
several laps to go he took over the lead and won the race. Jeffrey won the
overall and finished third in the Dutch Open Championship Standings.

Valentin Teillet set the 11th
fastest time in time practice. At the start of the first moto he crashed and
had to start the race from the back of the field. With consistent lap times
he passed a lot of riders and finally finished the race in 14th
position. In the second moto his start was better and this time he came out
of the first corner in sixth position. In the beginning of the race he
dropped back to eight position but when he found his rhythm he worked
himself up to sixth position again. Valentin made no mistakes and finished
the race in sixth position. The talented Frenchman finished eight overall
and despite the fact that he has missed a few races he finished 13th
in the Dutch Championship Standings.

Yentel Martens finished
fourth overall in the MX1 class. Yentel set the 7th fastest time in time
practice but didn't took a good start in the first moto. He came out of the
first corner around the top 20. Yentel gave everything he had and after
three laps he moved into tenth position. Soon after he moved into ninth
position and after a strong final effort he finished the race in seventh
position. In the second moto Yentel went into the first corner in 18th
place. After a very strong race Yentel was able to finish in 7th place
again. With these result he finished 4th overall and after a long season he
finished in sixth position in the Dutch Open Championship Standings.

Joel
Roelants finishes second with team Belgium
at the MX des Nations
Joel
Roelants from the KTM JM Racing Team finished third overall with team
Belgium at the Motocross des Nations in Franciacorta, Italy last Sunday. On
Saturday Joel showed his potential because in his qualifying heat he rode in
second position for a long time. He finally finished the race in third
position and because his team mates Clement Desalle and Steve Ramon also did
well the their qualifying heats, team Belgium qualified themselves in 3rd
place for the race on Sunday.

In the
first moto (MX1-MX2) Joel did not took a good start. At the end of the first
lap he came by start/finish in 18th position. In the second lap
he made a mistake and dropped back to 23rd position. Joel came
back strong and was able to finish in 15th place. With this position he was
the 6th MX2 rider in the field. In the second moto (MX2-Open) he took a
better start and came out of the first lap in 9th position. For
the rest of the moto he had lots of battles around 10th place but he
eventually finished in 11th place and was the 5th MX2 rider this time.
Because Steve Ramon and Clement Desalle also scored good results Team
Belgium finished third overall.
Jeffrey
Herlings from the KTM JM Racing Team was selected to race for the Dutch
team. Despite the fact that this was Jeffrey’s first Grand Prix race he did
very well on Saturday. Jeffrey rode around 8th place for a long time and he
eventually finished the race in 7th place. Because of this good result the
Dutch team qualified themselves in 15th position for the race on
Sunday.

The first
moto started with bad luck for Jeffrey. During the first lap he couldn’t
avoid a fallen rider and crashed also. His bike got hit by another rider and
by this collision his sub frame got bent. Jeffrey immediately made a pit
stop to repair the problem but he lost a lot of places and because the frame
was still causing trouble he had to retire from the race after a few laps.
In the second moto he did not had any trouble in the beginning of the race
and came out of the first lap in 12th place. He moved into 11th place but
after that he lost his rhythm and due to this he lost some places. Herlings
still did his best and was able to finish the race in 20th place. Jeffrey
finished eighteenth overall with Team Holland!

Nations Team
KTM JM Racing
team rider Joel Roelants was selected as the Belgian representative in the MX2
class for the Motocross of Nations in Italy. The announcement was made at the
Belgian motocross championships in Balen on Saturday. Roelants' consistently
good results and his iron determination were enough for team captain Joel Smets
to select him. His teammates will be Clement Desalle (MX1) and Steve Ramon
(Open).

Joel also
came to the fore well at the Keiheuvel. The organizers arranged a very strong
field of riders and despite being on a smaller MX2 bike in the MX1 class Joel
made his presence felt. In the first and second moto Joel had to
come back trough the field. In the first moto he finished in thirteenth position
and in the second moto he crossed the finish line in twelfth position. In the
third moto his start was good and he went into the first corner inside the top
ten. Joel found his rhythm straight away and worked himself up into seventh
position. The rider from Grobbendonk kept his head cool till the end and he
finished the race in seventh position. Joel finished ninth overall and sits in
sixth position in the Belgian Championship Series.
Jeremy van
Horebeek finished in tenth position in the first and the second moto. In the
third moto he rode in seventh position when he crashed. It took him a while to
get going and finally he retired from the race. Jeremy finished thirteenth
overall and sits in seventeenth position in the Belgian Championship Series.

Yentel
Martens finished seventeenth overall in Mol. Yentel rode three consistent motos
and finished in 18th, 16th and 15th position.
With these results he scored 14 Belgian Championship points. Because this was
Yentel’s first Belgian Championship race of the season he sits in 36th
position in the championship standings.

KTM JM riders in the top ten in the Czech
Republic
Valentin Teillet from the KTM JM Racing
Team scored his best Grand Prix result so far at the 13th round of the World
Championship Series in Loket in the Czech Republic today. Teillet took a
good start in the first moto and rode in 6th place in the early going.
Because he lost his rhythm he dropped back to 9th place. Valentin stayed
calm and picked up the pace at the second part of the moto. In this part he
was able to pass a few riders and finished the race in 6th place. In the
second moto Valentin started the race in 6th place again. Teillet slowly
increased his pace and in the middle of the race he had worked himself up to
5th place. When the second place rider had to retire from the race due to a
mechanical problem he moved into 4th place. For a moment Valentin tried to
overtake 3rd place but he eventually finished in 4th place. The talented
Frenchman finished fifth overall and with this result he moved into 17th
position in the World Championship Standings.

Joel Roelants also did well today. He
finished 6th overall. In the first moto the rider from Grobbendonk started
the race in 25th place and had to come back trough the field. Because it was
very hard to overtake on this circuit Joel only made progress in the second
part of the race. Just after the middle of the race he moved into 11th place
and with a good final effort he finished in 9th place. In the second moto he
took a better start and went into the first corner in 10th place. In the
beginning the differences between the riders were small and so Joel got
stuck at 10th place. During the race the differences got bigger and Joel was
able to work himself up to 7th place. Roelants finished sixth overall and
after thirteen rounds he sits in 7th position in the World
Championship Standings.

Jeremy van Horebeek finished 10th
overall at the Grand Prix in the Czech Republic. In the first moto Jeremy
took a bad start and had to begin the race in 17th place. In the early going
he was able to work himself up to 15th place but after a few laps he lost
his rhythm and dropped back to 18th place. Jeremy kept pushing and was able
to overtake two riders in the second part of the race and eventually
finished in 16th place. In the second moto he took a better start and he
came out of the first corner in 8th place. In the second lap van Horebeek
moved into 7th place and was able to keep this place for the rest of the
race. When the second place rider had to retire from the race due to a
mechanical problem Jeremy moved up 1 place and finished in 6th place.
Overall he finished in tenth position. After thirteen rounds Jeremy sits in
11th position in the World Championship Standings.

Jeffrey Herlings has won the second
moto of the European Championship Series in Lacapelle Marival today. Jeffrey
felt at home on the circuit of Lacapelle Marival. On Saturday he won his
qualifying heat and started from pole position on Sunday. His team mate Axel
Alletru finished in ninth in his qualifying heat.

Unfortunately the day started with bad
luck for Jeffrey. In the 7th lap of the first moto his chain derailed and he
had to retire from the race. After the break he came back strong by winning
the second moto. Jeffrey finished sixth overall and stays in second position
in the European Championship Standings. Axel Alletru failed to score points
today.

Joel Roelants from the KTM JM Racing Team finished
second overall at his home Grand Prix in Lommel, Belgium yesterday. After a
consistent first moto he crossed the finish line in third position. In the
second moto Roelants started the race in second place. He immediately found his
rhythm but because the leader in the race was too fast for Joel he decided to
secure second place and to take no risks. Joel’s strategy worked and he crossed
the finish line in second position. With a 3-2 in the motos he finished second
overall. After twelve rounds he sits in 8th place in the World Championship
Standings.

Jeremy van Horebeek rode a strong first moto.
After a very bad start he came back from 15th place to 4th place. In the second
moto van Horebeek crashed in the first lap and had to come back trough the
field. During the race he passed a lot of riders but in the middle he crashed
again. The Jerre recovered well after the crashed and managed to finish the race
in 16th position. With a 4-16 in the motos he finished tenth overall.
After the race in Lommel he is in 11th position in the World
Championship Standings.

Valentin Teillet only scored World Championship
points in the first moto. Valentin had some nice battles for 15th
position during the race and changed places till the end of the race. He finally
finished the race in 16th position and scored five World Championship
points. In the second moto his start was not so good and he went into the first
corner in 25th place. He recovered well but in the third lap he crashed while he
rode in 18th position. Because his chances to score points were gone
he retired from the race. Valentin finished 19th overall and sits in
20th position in the World Championship Standings.
Yentel Martens competed among the strong MX1
riders with a wildcard. The first moto started with bad luck because he crashed
in the first corner. Martens stayed cool and worked himself back up trough the
field in a constant pace. During the race he was able to pass a lot of riders
and so he moved into 15th place in the middle of the race. Martens wasn’t done
yet and kept the pace as high as he could. In the closing stages of the race he
managed to pass several riders and crossed the finish line in 12th
position. In the second moto he did not took a good start but he was able to
recover well and in the 5th lap he moved int0 17th place. Unfortunately Yentel
made a mistake and dropped back a few places. But the rider from Lommel did not
give up and finished in 20th place and scored the last World Championship point.
Yentel finished 15th overall in his home Grand Prix.

Jeffrey Herlings won the first moto of the
European Championship MX2 Series in Schwedt, Germany yesterday. In the second
moto the rider from Elsendorp crashed in the beginning of the race. It took him
a while to restart his bike but still he was able to finish in 8th place which
was enough for 4th overall. After the race in Germany he stays in 2nd
position in the championship and he is 44 points behind the leader in the
championship.

Axel Alletru finished in 9th place in the first
moto but he was unable to score in the second moto. Axel finished 15th
overall and after ten rounds he is in eight position in the European
Championship Standings.

Sergey Astaykin finished in 6th place in the first
moto of Grand Prix MX3 in Schwedt, Germany. Unfortunately a crash in the second
moto made it impossible for him to score in the second moto. He finished 14th
overall and sits in 12th position in the championship after the race
in Germany.

Jeffrey Herlings from the KTM JM Racing
Team second overall at round eight of the European Championship Series in

second place and with these results he finished second overall. After eight
rounds the young Dutchman sits in second position in the championship and is
43 points behind the leader.

Axel Alletru was unable to score points
in Slovenia. In the first race he crashed after the start, and he lost so
much time that by lap six he realized he could not improve the situation
anymore and decided to retire. In the second
moto Axel had bad luck as well. He injured his knee during the race and it
was too painful for him to keep on racing. Because of the fact that he
didn’t scored points he dropped to twelfth position in the European
Championship Series.

Martens raced for points in the World Championship MX3 in Slovenia. Sergey
had a good first moto and finished in fourth position. In the second moto he
finished in 15th place and with these results he finished ninth overall.
After nine rounds Sergey sits in 13th position in the

five at the 11th round of the World Championship Series in Uddevalla, Sweden
last Sunday. Roelants felt at home on the circuit of Uddevalla and qualified
himself in 4th position on Saturday. In the first moto he took a good

dropped back to 4th place and it looked like he was going to finish in that
place. But with only a few laps to go he lost it and finished in 5th place. In
the second moto Joel went into the first corner in 8th place. He slowly
increased his pace and was able to finish in 4th place. The rider from
Grobbendonk finished fifth overall and moved into tenth position in the World
Championship Standings.
Jeremy van Horebeek started the weekend with bad luck. In the

but lost it soon after. With only 6 laps to go Valentin was forced to give up
his place and finished in 17th place. In the second moto Valentin started around
20th place. In the beginning he couldn’t find his rhythm and rode in 19th place
for a long time. In the second part of the race he increased his pace and passed
a lot of riders. After a good final effort he finished in 13th place. Valentin
finished 14th overall and sits in 21st position in the
World Championship Standings.

Jeffrey Herlings and Axel Alletru went out in the 7th round
of the European Championship Series in Faenza, Italy last Sunday. Jeffrey

he had and was able to finish in 19th place. With this place he scored 2
European Championship points. Jeffrey finished seventh overall and sits in
second position in the European Championship Standings.

Axel was unable to finish in the first moto and finished in
13th place in the second moto. Alletru finished 19th overall and is in 13th
position in the Championship Standings.

Joel
Roelants finishes sixth at the Grand Prix of
Latvia
Joel Roelants from the KTM JM Racing Team scored his best result of the season
at the tenth round of the World Championship Series in Kegums, Latvia today. The
rider from Grobbendonk finished in sixth position in both motos and with these
results he finished sixth overall. In the first moto he rode in 4th place but
with only 3 laps to go he crashed and finally finished the race in sixth
position. After ten rounds he sits in eleventh position in the World
Championship Standings.

Jeremy van Horebeek had a difficult Grand Prix in Kegums. On Saturday he crashed
in his qualification heat and because he could not restart his bike he was
classified in 35th position. Jeremy had a bad starting place in both
motos on Sunday. In the first moto Jeremy came out of the first turn in the top
20. He immediately started to try and overtake riders. Unfortunately he crashed
in the 3rd lap and could not restart his bike again. Jeremy was really
disappointed and failed to score points. In the second moto he recovered well
and finished in 11th place. Due to the fact that he didn’t score points in the
first moto he finished in 16th position overall. After the race in
Latvia he sits in 10th position in the Championship.

Valentin Teillet rode two consistent motos on the sandy circuit of Kegums. In
both motos he took a good start and he was able to finish in 16th and 14th
place. Valentin rode in 12th place in the first moto but he crashed and
eventually finished in 16th place. In the second moto Valentin had a good start
but could not find his rhythm. He dropped back to 16th place but he did not gave
up. He was able to pass two riders and to finish the race in 14th place.
Valentin finished in 14th position overall and sits in 20th
position in the championship!

Jeffrey Herlings has won a MX2 Junior Eurpean Championship on the Eurocircuit of
Valkenswaard today. Herlings finished 2-1 in the motos which was enough to take
the overall win.
