Podium
positions for Jeremy van Horebeek and Joel
Roelants in Dutch Open in Rhenen
Jeremy van
Horebeek and Joel Roelants of the KTM JM racing team both stepped onto the
podium at the third round of the Jumbo Dutch Motocross Championships at
Rhenen. Both riders were in contention for the victory right up to the end
of race 1, which eventually fell van Horebeek's way. In the second race
Roelants and van Horebeek finished third and fourth respectively, which
secured the second spot overall for van Horebeek and third for teammate
Roelants.
The team's 14 year old prodigy Jeffrey Herlings started the race with an
injured shoulder and bruised ribs. Despite the impediment, he led the first
race for a long time. The troublesome shoulder however started playing its
part form mid-race distance, and to add to that, he also crashed later in
the heat, which dropped him back to seventh position. He recovered one spot
to finish sixth. In the second race, Jeffrey had to bite through the pain,
but still managed a brave 8th place finish.
Valentin Teillet made his racing comeback after a weeks long injury layoff.
The talented Frenchman rode just outside of the top 10 for most of the first
heat, till a crash near the end of the race forced him to retire from the
race. In the second race, he struggled to find his rhythm initially, but
later recovered to 12th spot.
Yentel Martins was forced to play catch up in the first MX1 race after a bad
start. He recovered from 20th position to 12th. The Belgian finished the
second heat in 9th spot.
Jeremy van Horebeek finished seond overall in the MX2 class, with teammate
Roelants 3rd. Herlings finished 7th overall despite the injury impediment,
and as a result of his DNF in race 1, Teillet had to be content with 27th
spot overall. Yentel Martens phoned ninth overall in the MX1 class.
Roelants has taken over the lead in the Jumbo Open Dutch Championships.
Herlings is still in second spot, despite his troubled day. Van Horebeek
occupies fourth spot and Teillet 10th. Yentel Martens has progressed to
seventh spot in the MX1 class.

with the high pace and was increasing the pressure on the leader. But Jeremy
could not find a good spot to take over 1st place so he finished in 2nd
place. Joel Roelants rode in 15th place for almost the entire race but
nearing the end of the race he was able pass two riders and finished in 13th
place.
Watch a
movie of the first moto below:

second moto Jeremy had a good start as well. He started the race in 6th
place this time and he was able to hold on to this place for a long time. In
the middle of the race Jeremy moved into 5th position and was
increasing the pressure on the fourth place rider. At the end of the race he
took over 4th place but this wasn’t enough to take the overall victory.
Jeremy gave everything he got and in the last lap he moved into third place
and finished in it. Joel Roelants started around 20th place and was fighting
for points the entire race. Due to a crash in the middle of the race he

After the
good results in Faenza the KTM JM Racing Team went to Bulgaria with confidence.

Valentin Teillet finished 12th in his qualifying heat and just two
places in front of his team mate Joel Roelants. Jeremy van Horebeek crashed in
the beginning of the race and had to come back trough the field. Because he

start/finish in 10th place. Joel was able to hold this place during the race and

got but had to be satisfied with a ninth position in the first moto.
The second
moto did not start good for Roelants and at the end of the first lap he passed
the starting line in 20th place. Because of the high pace on the circuit it was

in the first corner in the top 10. Due a mistake in the first lap he dropped

and he was racing outside the top 20 for a while. After some laps he found his
rhythm and worked himself back up to cross the finish line in 19th place.
In the second
moto Valentin took a good start as well and he started the race in 5th place.
Valentin could not get the right rhythm in the beginning of the race and due
this he dropped back to 10th place. Valentin held on to this position for a long
time but in the second part of the moto he lost two positions and had to be
satisfied with 12th place.
Jeremy van
Horebeek:
Jeremy van
Horebeek got a good start in the first moto. He was able to start the race just
outside the top 10. In the beginning of the race he worked himself into 12th
place until he fell in the second part of the race and hurt his shoulder again.

and he was forced to retire from the race. In the second moto Jeremy still tried
to race but after a while he was forced to stop and return to the paddock.

KTM JM Racing trio in the top ten at GP of Italy
The KTM JM Racing Team started
the World Championship MX2 very good today in Faenza in Italy. It was a
Grand Prix with rough conditions and due to the bad weather there was only
one moto. Van Horebeek, Roelants and Teillet were able to score good in this
moto. Van Horebeek got 2nd place, Roelants got 5th place and Teillet got 9th
place.
The weekend started with nice
weather on Saturday and therefore a dry circuit. On Saturday a qualification
heat was held but this only counted for the starting positions on Sunday. In
the heat Jeremy van Horebeek had a couple of nice duels with other riders
but in the last part of the race he lost some places and finished 9th.
Valentin Teillet was racing in 15th place after a couple laps. He started to
ride in a higher pace and was able to get up to 10th place. With only 2 laps
to go Teillet unfortunately lost 1 place and finished 11th. Joel Roelants
started in 10th place but could not get ahold of the right rhythm. After a
while he got more bad luck because he fell. When he got up he noticed that
his boot was stuck behind his braking paddle which made him lose a lot of
time. Joel was able to overtake 1 place after he continued racing but
finished 36th.
In the night from Saturday to
Sunday it had rained a lot in Faenza and on Sunday morning it was still
raining when the riders started training. The circuit was wet and muddy but
in the first moto the 3 riders from the KTM JM Racing Team scored good. Van
Horebeek was racing in the lead for a while but in the last lap he lost the
lead and finished second. Joel Roelants was racing a very consistent first
moto. He started in 6th place but he made a small mistake and dropped back
to 9th place. He recovered well from his mistake and eventually finished
5th. Valentin Teillet started outside the top 20 but raced his best and
finished a very nice 9th place.
Due to the bad weather
conditions the organisation decided to cancel the second moto. next week the
Championship will continue in Sevlievo, Bulgaria.
